This pattern is to make a ragdoll mermaid that is 16" tall made from cotton fabrics...be creative and pair different fabrics for different looks! She has gorgeous hair made from wool felt and yarn and has a cute flippy tail. MerMae is an intermediate pattern, and the step-by-step photos make it easy for sewers who have some experience.
MerMae is not recommended for true beginners who are picking up sewing for the first time like most of my other patterns. You will need to be comfortable with your sewing machine to make her criss cross hair accents and must be comfortable making dolls to be able to turn her long slender body right side out to stuff. She is fun to make and can be made safe for little ones.
